Your port is committed to the process "ports own»
Passionate about the sea and the boating, you are sensitive to the environment.
Discover the challenges of the approach and the commitments of Port Navy Service for sustainable development.
The initial finding concerning port management
The Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur yachting fleet represents nearly 30% of the national fleet of boaters who visit the natural sites or park in ports. This activity obviously has consequences on the environment and on the quality of the water, both in the ports and in the surrounding area. Toxic waste (batteries, batteries, drain oils, solvents, etc.) and effluent (fairing water, wastewater, rainwater) sometimes flow directly into ports. Faced with this alarming finding, Port Navy Service decided to adopt the common and recognized standard of the “ ports own »
We are committed to sustainable development!
In 2018, Navy Port Service is committed to a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy by embarking on a voluntary approach to the acquisition of European Port Clean certification. It reflects a strong intention to make concrete commitments to fight in favor of the preservation of aquatic environments and the sustainable development of coastal and marine activities.
The Ports approach Clean is the solution to ensure appropriate management of these areas based on methods and tools that meet environmental challenges. In particular, it requires having our practices checked by an independent third-party organization, according to a reference framework of 17 criteria established at European level by the CWA Agreement 16987, European Clean Harbor Guidelines. This is how we made the following commitments:
Nature: fairing area to the latest environmental standards and selective sorting.
Carbon & Innovation: a new 120 ton Travellift equipped with a Volvo Tier4 engine
Energy saving: A photovoltaic roof of 1,500 m2, lighting of the park with LED spotlights.
Eco-responsible: Because ecology is everyone's business, transmission of information to boaters to limit the environmental impact (responsible waste management and reasoned consumption).
