New 35 m dock
end of work, the new darse is now operational
The construction carried out by the company Eiffage Maritime and river works lasted 6 months along our wharf. Our newly placed scullup at the entrance to the channel can now accommodate units 35m long and 8.15m wide. Access that simplifies the maneuvers of the largest boats, while offering a draft of 5 to 6 meters. Our new darse launched its first boat on Wednesday May 26. A Leopard 23 over 30 tons. our new travelift can raise monohulls Sailboats or yachts of up to 120 tons and up to 8 m wide.
3 access points
Our new 35 m dock completes our already existing water access points, i.e. a smaller dock that can accommodate boats 25 m and 6.15 m wide, and an access ramp 11 m wide for multihulls with a useful passage of 13 m.
Port Navy Service will now be able to accommodate and handle 3 units at the same time. That is up to 40 boats handled per day. Which is rare on our Mediterranean coast.
What is a dock?
A darse is a rectangular basin intended for the docking of boats. Moreover, the darse is sometimes the name given in Mediterranean to the basin of a port. Either by extension to certain small entire ports, in our case it is a second lifting dock.
