Fairing area to environmental standards
Port Navy Service invested in 2017 in a new Fairing area to environmental standards. A necessary project for our environment, in line with the policy and vision of our company, but also a way to transmit the right gestures to boaters.
The environment thanks you
Once a year, it is generally necessary to lift your boat in order to carry out its area. This is the perfect time to take stock of the condition of your hull, as well as all of your navigation equipment. This is when it is necessary to find the right place to maintain your boat. The products used like antifoulings are toxic, therefore harmful to our environment, but also to our health.
Hull stripping and antifouling application release harmful products to human health and marine organisms. It is forbidden to throw any type of Toxic waste, and therefore in particular the scales of paints, grains and dust from scraping, sanding and washing the old antifouling layer. The same goes for any residue or scraps of the new paint.
New area, new fairings
Port Navy Service is committed to a real ecological approach. His steps to obtain certification ports own are the example.
As a result, we invested in 2017 in a new fairing area with new environmental standards. A concrete surface of 2,200m2 was created, with a water recovery and filtration system. Boaters can thus ask to be placed on the fairing area in order to carry out their work in the best conditions.
If you are already a used Navy Service, the passage on the fairing area is not a paid service. You can also call on the companies working on our port to carry out your work.
Always in the general interest and to offer you optimal comfort when carrying out your work, Port Navy Service plans to expand its fairing area to environmental standards in the coming years.
