Navigation allowed May 20, 2020
Since May 20, 2020, navigation is authorized
Indeed, the Bouches du Rhône prefecture authorizes pleasure boating in this press release.
However, we will have to respect a certain number of recommendations, otherwise the authorization is withdrawn:
By way of derogation and subject to the limit of ten people per ship or boat, nautical activities and pleasure boating are authorized. The ports and holds for launching in the entire Bouches du Rhône department as well as on the Berre pond are affected by this derogation.
We will be able to practice these pleasure activities on the condition of respecting on the one hand the general police measures defined by the Maritime Prefect of the Mediterranean and, on the other hand, the hygiene and social distancing measures as well as the specific organizational methods provided for by the mayors.
Navigation restrictions
It is notably forbidden to anchor in a maritime strip of 500 meters from
Shore at the right of the beaches which remain prohibited to the public.
Activities of scuba diving clubs and commercial companies for the purpose of leasing pleasure vessels or carrying out commercial services using vessels
commercial use (NUC) may also resume subject to strict compliance with the health safety measures provided for by the protocols and within the strict number of
ten passengers maximum.
Pierre Dartout, the regional prefect, recalls that these are derogatory and precarious measures: if excesses are noted these derogations will be repealed. Pierre Dartout reiterates his call for the responsibility and civic-mindedness of the entire population of Bouches-du-Rhône to avoid any resumption of the epidemic.
As you will have understood, nothing is won and acquired yet, let's be careful to make the most of our space of freedom.
