The Secretary General of the Sea mandates the ffpp To organize the conditions for resuming pleasure activities
Indeed, as part of the Round Table of April 24, Denis Robin, Secretary General of the Sea, entrusts the French Federation of Marinas with (FFPP) the development of good health practices for a resumption of pleasure activities. The entire sector is mobilized around the FFPP to provide a concerted and operational response from next week.
It was at the initiative of the French Federation of Marinas and its president Serge Pallares that a round table was held today bringing together the entire maritime sector on the theme "Ports of marinas: inventory and future". In the presence of all the presidents of French unions and regional marina associations and institutional decision-makers, the entire port sector spoke about the total cessation of pleasure activities and its consequences for the 2020 season.
For Serge Pallares, “the challenge of this first meeting is twofold: to support professionals in the sector and guarantee the safety of boaters. »
On this occasion, it was Denis Robin, the Secretary General of the Sea who mandated the FFPP to develop recommendations for the deconfinement of the sector.
As a result, the FFPP is working now with all stakeholders. It is a guide to good practices of deconfinement for French marinas which will be given next week to the Secretary General of the Sea.
Serge Pallares underlined “the current recovery of pleasure activities in all ports is considered essential to save a 2020 season which promises to be very difficult. But access to ports for boaters must be combined with the authorization to navigate in order to guarantee compliance with the necessary sanitary conditions. »
For Denis Robin, “we are at a key moment in the management of this health crisis (…) There is a strong grip between marinas and tourist activity (…); The marinas are at the crossroads between transport, tourism and logistics and I asked for the situation of marinas in the more global reflection that is underway. »
May 11 is a starting point and the beginning of the deconfinement system in France but the date for resumption of pleasure activities cannot yet be set.
